A Mini-Me from Flutterby

Hi there!

Reading other people´s blogs is such an amanzing journey full of inspirations, admiration for the work of others and sometimes I even fell in love with something....or someone :-) So, this is "my love" Flutterby! Usually he´s living with Birgit and I suppose she is not going to part with him as he is such a charming fellow. So, last night when I could not find sleep (we all catched the flew), I made my own Mini-mini-Flutterby :-))) As I cannot sew he is made of FIMO. Here you can see him with his already second pair of wings - my daughter obviously loves him too!

Liebe Birgit, ich hoffe, Du verzeihst mir mein Plagiat!

I hope you are all doing fine and have a good week!

Life happens while you are making plans...

Hello!
Actually my plan was to be a bit quicker with my next post, but although I am spending a lot of time making minis I just don´t get ready with anything, so today I´ll be showing you "details" :-)))
As you can see on my first picture, my witch Miranda has been very successfully in breeding a very rare Whomping Willow (okay, the foto is lousy, but this is also a very BAD MOODED Whomping Willow who constantly refused to say "Cheeeeeeeeeeeeese" for the fotographer!) And getting on the cover of the Daily Prophet...Mrianda couldn´t have thought about a better promotion for her witchy business "Miranda´s Magical Seedlings".  Then, the day before the guys from the newspaper arrived, Miranda transformed into a frog!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaagh!  She was up to use some polyjuice potion with a hair from Cassandra Clearwater
(an old enemy from her Hogwarts school days -both fell in love with a teacher called "Gilderoy"). Well, as you can easily see, something was wrong - maybe there was some frogspawn on the hair????
This will have to be sorted out. But until then Miranda needed another kind of a "bed"....

And I am busy collecting and making witchy stuff....

This beautiful cauldron is made by Georgia Marfels (as are the mice in the background and the Miranda frog) . While Miranda is preferring to have all kinds of flies for dinner, the cauldron is used for someone else...

This is Flitzhinaus, he is a GoldenDesertDragon -baby. He prefers warm temperatures and dry places, is even able to learn human speech (only if he wants to). You will not have seen one before, as they are rare. Really rare, almost eradicated be generations of males as their skin is the only working antidote against male hair loss.

And I made some other magical pumpkins and plants for Miranda´s store. And -of .course -
a witch is supposed to have a lot of books. I only made a few yet :

And this is where Miranda´s going to live. My Café Igitt is going to get a new exterior and
"Miranda´sMagicalSeedlings" are on the first floor, her private rooms will be under the roof.

Somehow I am not able to make links today -sorry!
Kaisa is organising a Birthday Swap and today is Rosella´s Birthday!
Happy Birthday Rosella!!!
As she already opened her gifts I can show you what I made:

And for my Ballerina´s house I made some more tulips, some roses and a shabby memo board:

Hey, I am really in the mood for springtime!  Are you, too???

Bye for now, hugs,
Sandra

Bunny-Cat-Teapot!

Hello!
What a day!!! Today, my little one really got me. It started this morning: Jenny´s newest "fun thing"
is to lick the icy railing of our outside stairs, or the fench, or...whatever is frosted. Often enough I told her that one day she´s gonna to hang there with her tongue and won´t get away...yeah! This morning I wondered why Jenny remained silent back on the stairs..yes, she could not move as her tongue was frosted on the railing...panicking mum flying back into the house to get some warm towel to melt her away from that.
Why does she always have to learn it the hard way????
And this evening she spreaded her finger colors all the way from the chest through the dining room into her children´s room...my girl!
Well, here it is: my bunny-cat-teapot-and-meant-to-be-a-squirrel!
Lol, today I made another two of them, they got better but still look
solid like a rock and I don´t have the right color of flock. I plan to make a similar scene for my sister-in-law and I guess it´s better to buy a squirrel :-)
My scenery is almost finished (there could be some more ivy on the wall) and I hope that I don´t bore you with all these pics of acutally the same thing....

And this is the complete thing:

Hope you liked the little tour :-)

Next post you´ll read more about the dramatic accident of my witch Miranda with some polyjuice potion:

Gifts and Swaps...

Hello and a Happy New Year Everybody!!!

Last year I took part of Caterina´s International Christmas Swap and it was a whole lot of fun :-) I was the lucky one to receive a gift from Lena and on this first picture you can see how she spoilt me. Beautifully wrapped in pink paper there were a metal container (will plant some narcissus in), an oval wooden box with a snowman on it, a beautiful wreath, a round tin box where I´ll put cookies in and a collection of beautiful signs!
Thank you so much, Lena! Everything is beautifully made and looks so lovely in my houses!

And thank you so much Caterina for organizing this!!!

My partner to make a surprise for was Mali and this is what I made for her. Funny thing was that the
lingerie was wrapped in a little box and Mali only found out that this box was also filled when she saw the picture on Caterina´s blog :-)
And then I was also surprised by unexpected gifts....these also came in small packages...

Gillian sent me this beautiful collection of her perfectly made boxes. These are made with a very
beautiful paper that has some sparkles of glitter on it. I also enjoy a box with a hanky in it and
a bundle of romantic vintage postcards. This is something for my Ballerina!!!
Thank you Gill!

My other mini-gift came from Rena:
We are in the same online mini club and whatever question I have, Rena usually
has an answer for me :-)
Her gifts instantly went in Pippi´s cottage and added a lot of Christmas atmosphere:
Lovely containers with pointettia and red berries and two tiles with a moose on it.
And I love the text on it: " peace, jog, love and CHOCOLATE"...
Vielen Dank Rena, die werden wie ein Schatz gehütet!

For this year my mini-plans are going on with Pippi´s garden...
...and I already made some lillys from Pascale.
Then I want to go on with Miranda´s Magical Seedlings and somehow I must get a witch!!!

And we also have a project running in our mini club. January´s theme is "Winter" and this is what I
made so far (the bird is bought from Georgia Marfels).
I also made a squirrel from clay. When I presented it to my wonderful husband he said:
"AH!!! What a nice bunny!"...(now he realised my expression).."eh..CAT!!?"...."TEAPOT?????????"
So I told him (both of us frustrated now) that it is supposed to be a squirrel and he added:
"Ah yes! I didn´t see as it´s quite DARK here!"
Jaaaa.....I will show you my Bunny-Cat-Teapot-Squirrel nevertheless, but I´ll take the picture in
sunlight. Artifical lights seem to make it even worser than it is :-)

Have a good time!

Christmas Preparations in Pippi´s Cottage

Hello!
Hopefully you all are enjoying these beautiful times! Real life keeps me quite busy these days so I thought I should  use this moment and make a post. I got some lovely gifts from Gillian (MakeItSmall), Lena (Miniatyrmama) and Rena (Tinydreams). Maybe you can spot them here or there but I´ll make
an extra picture with them later. Thank you girls!!!
And I already spent my Christmas money on some lovely minis :-)))
Some impressions from Pippi´s Cottage:
Some Christmas bakery has already been done and the Little Uncle was kind of a big help for Pippi. He´s very talented in making Oats Horseshoe Biscuits.
More delights are already bought....who wants to make that in the hectic of Christmas day??
And of course the are the Christmas decorations....(Danke, Rena!)
...Mistletoe....
And my latest buys..the cutest crocheted Santa and Snowman are from Minimami
and the amazing egg warmer with the Christmas tree arrived yesterday
from Rosanna!
I felt really brave when I painted this cupboard pink but now I really like it this way.
Thanks to you people out there, it is so much fun and inspiration  with you!!!

I wish you all a very happy Christmas time and a healthy and lucky 2012!
Hugs, Sandra

Oh....Geroge.....!

Catherine and her two girls are spending some time with Pippi. The girls love Pippi and they are having a
whole lot of fun there. This morning they went to the market early and Pippi took the little girls to the playground while Catherine wanted to return home and get some sleep. She just started unpacking when
it knocked on the door...it was GEORGE!!!
How nice.....how charming....you can surely imagine how happy Catherine felt! And George even brought some gifts!.... The cutest little bear for baby Charlotte and and the lovely orchid she had admired so much
quite some time ago. (Did not buy the flower then as George refused to carry this home.) Catherine was
really touched that HE remembered...but then something went completely wrong...that was when Cat opened the last parcels...

.......................oh................................GEORGE!!!!

WELCOME ....Drama on Place Pigalle!

Hello again!
So many new followers - WOW! Thanks for spending your time here!
If you haven´t done it so far, please join my giveaway until the
22nd.
As you can see I made some new flowers, this time with kits again
from Pascale Garnier: pink and white peonies and a poinsettia.
I really love how the peonies turned out and here are my first
Christmas decorations:
A little wreath for Pippi´s cottage....and No! The door doesn´t need
new color, that´s Shabby Chic, lol!
Here´s the glitter-decorated poinsettia with a skater.
But besides this ordinary things a little drama happened in
Catherine´s (yow! she finally has a name!) house::
She´s got another baby girl! Still nameless, but well: I will need
a little girl´s room with a cradle soon. Catherine has been hoping
that the baby´s daddy would decide to live with them. But he is not
the  family-type of a man and rather wanted to stay in Como...
So, she only could put a photograph next to baby´s bed. So sad.

I´ve been trying to make a little girl from fimo, but it´s always boys-heads that
are coming out :-(
In the meanwhile: do you have suggestions for french first names for Catherine´s two
girls? (And "No! I do not think that "Georgina" sounds french!")

Have a good time!
Hugs, Sandra

My Swap with Cora

Hello!
It´s such a beautiful and shiny day, so I took the opportunity and used the good light for some mini pictures.
Recently I made a little "Eiffeltower-Swap" with Cora. Unfortunately she doesn´t have a website, we met in
our online mini forum. I made her some peonies in a basket, a pink lantern and gave her also such a little Eiffeltower like the one in my giveaway. And this is what I got in return :-)
A beautiful bucket with roses, a cute little picture with a checkered frame, a little pic from Eiffel-Tower,....
...an enamel sign for my Ballerina´s house...(finally I know where she´s living, lol!), and.....
THE CUTEST SHOES THAT YOU CAN IMAGINE!!! They are just georgous and look so perfect in this room.  Vielen, vielen Dank, Cora!!!
I played around with the furniture and this is how it looks now. The wardrobe should be also white but  it is so beautifully made that I don´t wanna spoil it .
We are having a christmas-swap in our online club and I was (and still am!) quite nervous about making the right little things. Can´t show you now but I´ve been playing around with Fimo also and this is my first
selfmade doll. His name is Pfefferminz ("Peppermint") and he´s one of Santa´s little helpers.

Okay, he still needs some clothes....and I´m in the need of a really good idea: can´t sew, crochet or knit. What a challenge, lol!
Greetings from sunny Germany!
Sandra
