Miranda´s Magical Seedlings...

"Let the inspiration flow...", that´s what I did this week. I having a break from Pippi´s house and now I´m filling the "penthouse" of one of my other houses instead.
This is the home of Miranda, a witch who is found of making all kinds of charmed seedlings, like mandrakes, talking potato-heads and so on.
The peonies above are made from a kit from Georgie Steeds (The miniature garden center). I was not sure if I should show you as I got aware that she´s amongst my followers now. :-) These kits are quite easy and quick to assembly and I got better with every flower. So, this is why I´m not showing you the burgundy peony which I made first but this white one.
This is how Miranda´s working room looks now. I wanted very soft colours for it. The floor is not going to stay that way, I want a sandstone floor made like the brick fassade of Pippi´s house. Also, I want to make a brick stove with a little dragon sleeping in the ashes.
I made a whole lot of pumpkins, mushrooms, monster-bottles and plants with faces.
And you can see my first attempts with wickering. I´ll have to give you the link for the blog
where I found this tutorial!
The little needle felted owl is from Suskita(Suskita).  In her shop I also found the inspiration for this hungry geranium plant:
So, you see that I was having fun this week! The weather is finally fine and really HOT, my husband´s off from work and we´re enjoying making trips with the kids. This last picture was taken last week when we were visiting the zoo in Munich. I´m sharing it because my fullsize mini Jenny is having her
3rd Birthday tomorrow. She´s a little devil, but I´m sooo proud!
Have a good week!!!

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT...

Hello!
When I saw this bikini and beach bag set in Caterina´s blog it was "Love at first sight" to me. After my comment on it, Caterina kindly informed me that she was going to sell a copy in her etsy shop "Le Minis di Cockerina". Well,
now it´s mine" :))
I also ordered a "favourite" of my little daughter: Spaghetti:
Pasta, tomatoes and my free rag (what´s the word for this??), isn´t it a beautiful addition to Pippi´s kitchen?

My real life kept me quite busy the last weeks. Jenny got the hot iron on her foot about three weeks ago and Tom had to be operated last Wednesday.
So I was a lot of time spending at the kid´s doctors but now we can enjoy the rest of summer and the holidays.
Speaking about "summer"...again it´s raining cats and dogs and it´s already quite fresh in the nights, doesn´t "feel" like summer at all. So, that was probably my inspiration for making these...
Pumpkins...mushrooms and lanterns. Maybe I can use them for a little Halloween scene with The Very Shabby Eddy? Anyhow: I enjoyed making them as they are EASY =) and I really like the colours.
The little blackbird is from Georgina Marfels... Happy Halloween, harhar!

Sorry, Gill....!

... Actually I am supposed to get Gill´s package ready, but instead of that I made this little kitchen
shelf from cardboard last night. I hope I can make some more furniture for the kitchen that way!

LUCKY GIRL

Hello!
This week began with a BIG surprise for me. Look, what I
found in our mailbox on monday! This wonderful quilt was made by
Gillian (www.makeitsmall.blogspot.com) and came here as an absolutely
surprise! Can you imagine how thrilled I was!??
Gill made the design by herself on the computer as she could not find
suitable fabrics. Isn´t it beautifuuuuuuul??
Thank you so much, Gillian!

This week I did not have a lot of time for my minis as my work and
my "Fullsize-Minis" kept me quite busy.
But this is my first attempt in working with dollhouse water and
flower-making without a kit. It´s okay, but the lower leaves of the
nymphea got soaked by the "water" and the long stalks got pressed against the
basin when I filled in the water. So: Back to working with kits!!!
Here in Germany we have really rainy weather for the last weeks, so I hope that you
can enjoy your summer!

Margriet (margriets-miniatures.blogspot.com) As you can see a little further down here, I took a lot of inspiration of your mummy! Thanks for sharing!!!
Carmen (pekevasion.blogspot.com) who is also quite new in Blogland (like myself!)
and
Norma (makeminemini.blogspot.com)... who is one of the warmest and niciest persons around here in Blogland!

Eva and Eve, I couldn´t find your blogs, but if there´s one, just let me know and I´ll mention them in my next post! :))

Kids and work kept me quite busy but nevertheless I could finish a few things.
I had some fun making clay oranges and lemons. Only: the lemons are too big or the oranges too small...that´s why you don´t see them together on one picture! :)))

And I could finally make these chairs from a kit for Pippi. The other ones were only borrowed from my café.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand now: The Very Shabby Eddy
Margriet made such a cool mummy and kindly shared the link in her blog (margriets-miniatures).
I just had to try it and here is my zombie Eddy. He was living all his life in the cottage where now Pippi´s living in. He didn´t realize, that he has already passed away and so he´s still walking around the cottage every now and then. That´s the reason why Pippi got the cottage so cheap! While other people run away screaming Pippi is actually quite found of him (he´s really nice manners!) and loves having a little chat with Eddy.
Tatatataaaaaaaaa! "The Very Shabby Eddy".
Hurraaaaaaaaaaaah!!)
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK!

Kleinigkeiten - Little things...

Hallooooo!
Hello-o! This week I was courageous to start another try with sculpey (last one was a desaster). Wanted to make some simple rigatoni noodles. Well, wasn´t simple enough! So, instead of that I ended up with two door signs. And here I actually thought when doing it, to write "Willkommen" and "P.Langstrumpf" on the signs, but I couldn´t write that small with the brush...ehmehm....but I like it nevertheless!
Then I tried myself on another thing which I have no talent for: Sewing. Rena from "Tinydreams" creates so beautiful things for her patchwork store so I really wanted to try something easy looking. The garden gloves and the fabric bag are her ideas, whereas my "Sewing" should be more correctly called "Gluing". TackyGlue forever!!! The easy-made yellow fabric basket is from a tutorial from "MimmisDollhouse". Thanks for sharing!

Eine schöne, sonnige Woche!
Have a beautiful week!

Fleißiges Wochenende - Busy like a bee!

Hallo! Herzlich willkommen!
Hi there! First of all I want to say "Thanks!" and "Welcome" to my first followers: Gillian, Jackie, Rena and Anarniel!

This weekend I had some spare time to use for my dollhouse exterior. I ´ve been working with the "Magic brick system" which is actually quite easy to work with. First you stick a template on, after that you apply the brick paste. After a few minutes you can remove the template and can also "age" the bricks, if you want so.

This is how it looks now. The texture is quite realistic. Only, I did a bit too much "aging" and it´s a bit dark now. This is the look through the bay window.

I could also finish the roof and so I can start decorating a bit. There are going to be some flower beds and more ivy on the wall. And, as a Swedish person is living here, there is a swedish bunting on the entrance.
(I LOVE buntings.... so EASY to make!!!) I wonder: what is typically Swedish???

P.S. And I really succeeded in getting burnt from the hot melt just ONCE!!!

Ich wünsche Euch eine schöne Woche!               Have a nice week!
